Belated post from Nov 2019- The Outnet seasonal party in Central London

Jacqueline worked with talented illustrators Anjelica Roselyn and Scott W Mason at the fabulous fashion event at Home Grown private members club for The Outnet last year. A huge queue of guests for the 3 of us, Jacqueline managed to get full length fashion portraits down to 6 minutes on A5 size paper!

It was a fabulous fashion crowd sipping on champagne and canapés until late in the evening.

Fashion Show illustrations for promotional material at Bellevue Collection fashion Week in Seattle

I had a large project to illustrate the scene of Bellevue- a luxury shopping mall in Seattle during the summer for their Fall 2019 runway shows. I had to fit a certain amount of figures onto the background which were also to be used independently for billboards, flyers, VIP passes and giveaway tote bags. It was a lovely job to work on and was great to finally see the printed material in September.

50th Birthday party

I had great fun with the guests at a party recently, particularly as some were dressed as 1980’s pop stars like Debbie Harry, Chrissie Hind & Siouxsie Sioux who were all really good to draw!

I had donated my time as ‘event illustartor’ to our local primary school, raising money at an auction, a local lady won the bid who happens to work in fashion, which made for a very colourful guest list and friends flown in from as far afield as Sydney, Australia. It was a really lovely evening and I think the drawings reflect my relaxed state!

Melanie Sykes' The Frank Magazine asks Jacqueline to illustrate her favourite summer outfit for their second issue .

I met Melanie last year when she visited my studio to be sketched by me & to interview me for her blog. I guess her idea of featuring ‘interesting people doing interesting things’ grew into something more and she has now got together with a team and launched a wonderful online magazine aimed at women over forty. With refreshing articles on everything from health& well being, fashion, beauty, travel, motoring and cuisine, it’s an interesting read. You can read the first issue here https://issuu.com/thefrankmagazine/docs/frank_magazine_april_may

For the second issue I chose a wonderful outfit by VB Victoria Beckham’s range which is so cute- I love the sunglasses print and cute ruffled skirt. Her collection is full of sharp cutting and flattering asymmetry. pu can read the second issue here https://issuu.com/thefrankmagazine/docs/frank_magazine_june_july

Second part of Lunar New Year promotion for Luxury Japanese skincare brand Decorté, Jacqueline was asked to illustrate top fashion and beauty influencers

Fourteen Influencers were treated to their very own Jacqueline Bissett full length fashion portrait last month as part of Decorté’s promotion. “I had some wonderfully glamourous looks to draw, I felt that I had a glimpse of these stylish ladies’ lives. It was great fun portraying them in ink! It was lovely to connect with some of them on Instagram and

For the illustrations, Jacqueline used ink, collage with gold sparkly ink for the Decorté brand logo

Louis Vuitton Pre Christmas Brunch on Sloane Street, Jacqueline illustrates special guests

I had the pleasure a couple of weeks before Xmas to sit in Louis Vuitton’s Sloane Street Boutique whilst special customers did their Xmas shopping, trying on the latest collection of LV bags, scarves, shoes and clothing from their Winter collection. I decided to use brush pens at this event for the first time due to the cream carpet. I’ve never actually spilt any ink at an event but as there were children and even dogs present, I decided to ‘play it safe’! It made or a challenging morning but I really enjoyed chatting with the guests and their families whilst sketching away- a great Christmas vibe in Knightsbridge!

Naia commission Jacqueline to illustrate for their animation and stand at Première Vision in Paris

I worked on a huge animation project with Uber Digital design company on hundreds of sketches animated by Uber for a short film to show their sustainable, nature fibre product. The digital illustrations on iPad Pro using Procreate showed 3 different looks ‘Slounge’, ‘Urban’ and ‘Bar Noir’ in relevant settings which I also illustrated along with nature elements. The very talented crew at Uber Digital in London used Rotoscope animation to create a wonderful short film. Jacqueline illustrates for Four Seasons magazine for their Fashion issue

I was recently commissioned by the luxury travel brand Four Seasons to illustrate in the Fashion issue of their third issue. Articles to illustrate included a fascinating read by SC Stuart showing the impact of Artificial Intelligence on fashion design and where the future is taking us, by keeping a track and logging information on existing designs/trends. The next feature by Amanda Mull was on catwalk representation of women of many physical abilities and sizes. Finally I was asked to give my opinion on present fashion trends and for my take on reinvented designs from leading brands’ archives. I decided to work digitally on the iPad Pro, which is still a lesser area of my work, the suitability for the articles seemed most relevant. It’s always good to have some editorial work as a freelance illustrator as this is still our best showcase, seeing one’s work in print.

Jacqueline and Kathy Wyatt team up to illustrate guest portraits for Bvlgari in St. Moritz, Switzerland.

Kathy and I were invited to stay at Badrutt's Palace Hotel in St. Moritz to draw fashion portraits of their special guests for an event to celebrate 100 years of jewellery watch making. It was an informative talk in a beautiful suite in the world famous luxury ski resort. We prepared 'poses' before the event so watches could be photographed and printed onto watercolour paper which we then drew the portraits. The event was a huge success, Kathy and I managed to draw nearly 40 portraits between us in 3 hours. To view Kathy's work please visit www.kathywyatt.com . Sketching at Soho House Festival on Hampstead Heath with Private Drama Events

I had a very exciting day last week at Soho House's Festival at Kenwood House. It was a hot day and my first time working at a festival outdoors. Luckily I had a shady spot on the edge of Private Drama's marquee where I was able to cast an odd glance at the amazing acts of circus-style performers. Their theme was very much 'The Greatest Showman' Vaudeville style with traditional acts being off-centred and updated, I felt honoured to be a part of their very grand marquee.

4 full days live drawing at Ralph Lauren's Polo flagship store on Regent Street

I had a great time over the Royal Wedding weekend, working on the first floor of the beautiful Regency building. Staff were very welcoming and it was great to work in a place with a lovely 'family feeling'! The glitzy opening evening was attended by the fashion glitterati who came to listen to Ginnie Chadwyck-Healey who gave a fabulous talk on the styling of Ralph's new collection. The following 3 days I spent linked up to a large monitor where guests were invited to try on the new collection, styled by the staff. I then sketched them on my iPad Pro, emailing the illustrations directly to them.

Bloomsbury Publishing commission jacqueline to illustrate a wonderful new Italian lifestyle book by Kamin Mohammadi

Had a lovely commission nearly 2 years ago to illustrate the cover for this book, it was then shelved for a year and when it returned, the cover was changed slightly and internal illustrations were added to each chapter. It's a really fun, playful read of Mohammadi's relocation to Florence and an insightful journey into this new world after a busy career, writing in London.

Emporio Armani invites Jacqueline to produce digital fashion illustrations for the Emporio Armani / Marie Claire fashion 'roadshow'

Just back from an exhausting few days in Glasgow and Manchester with Armani. I was invited to draw portraits of guests on my iPad Pro, which was linked up to a 2metre high monitor. This had been set up 'portrait style' so was huge! It was such a unique idea and I had quite an audience, not great for the nerves but once 'into the drawing zone' I loved it!

The customers were gifted their prints on the night which were mounted and framed.

It was a pleasure being surrounded by such gorgeous clothes- the Emporio range is stunning. There was also a presentation by Marie Claire's Fashion Editor, Jayne Pickering showing key looks for the season.

It was great to be part of the Armani team and the staff were great, I'm looking forward to being part of their Xmas promotions in Selfridges in December, more details to follow...

illustration Ltd invite Jacqueline to sketch clients' portraits at Le Book Connections, Truman Brewery, London

I spent a wonderful day with my agents Juliette and Victoria in The Truman Brewery for Le Book Connections, drawing professional creatives working in advertising, design and publishing.

More nervous to get started than usual, probably because I was trying extra hard to make a good impression, once I'd warmed up I really enjoyed drawing the stylish crew, who came from all over Europe.

It seemed like a really successful day for illustration Ltd with some great prospective clients such as Net-a-Porter and various large advertising agencies. It was great to see my 2 senior agents in action!

Jacqueline illustrates leg exercises for Vogue Japan's October issue

I was recently commissioned to illustrate over 20 illustrations of leg exercise for a 3 page article in Vogue Japan. I've worked for them several times previously, mainly for the beauty section.

Chloé's New Bond Street store, recently opened- invites Jacqueline Bissett along for a day drawing their new collection to celebrate London Fashion Week

I had the honour of working in Chloé's wonderfully designed New Bond St boutique a couple of weeks ago in celebration of London Fashion Week. The staff there were really friendly and made me feel at home on the saturday, the shop has a lovely atmosphere and I enjoyed sketching the customers while they shopped and drank champagne!

Fashion portraits at a beautiful afternoon tea at The Bvlgari Hotel, Knightsbridge

Spent yesterday afternoon with a bunch of very hip, stylish fashion & lifestyle bloggers in The Spirit Room of The Bvlgari Hotel- a super stylish hang out for Knightsbridge locals and visitors alike. Below are some of the sketches that I did as quick 12-15 minutes of the ladies who were all model like in appearance- made my job very easy!!!

Vogue Japan July's Health issue double page spread, illustrated by Jacqueline Bissett.

The article was specifically on healthiness and exercises for the promotion of strong bones. Commissioned by Kyoko Takahashi, Jacqueline was asked to supply 13 illustrations of various exercises and body parts in pale colours for a soft, subtle feel. Her paint splatters were used extensively throughout the Health section of the July issue.
