Belated post from Nov 2019- The Outnet seasonal party in Central London

Jacqueline worked with talented illustrators Anjelica Roselyn and Scott W Mason at the fabulous fashion event at Home Grown private members club for The Outnet last year. A huge queue of guests for the 3 of us, Jacqueline managed to get full length fashion portraits down to 6 minutes on A5 size paper!

It was a fabulous fashion crowd sipping on champagne and canapés until late in the evening.

Jacqueline was thrilled to be part of the CTN Expo team in Burbank, Los Angeles in November 2019

Jacqueline was invited to be part of CTN Expo 2019, their 10th year celebrating this amazing animation expo. Jacqueline was interviewed on stage by Jill Daniels- a multi Emmy winning Art Director and brilliant background painter for many huge animation productions. The Expo itself was a plethora of talent with model makers, guest artists and animators- an inspiring overview of the world of animation. Set in Burbank, California where all of the animation studios are based, Jacqueline had the opportunity to look around the Disney TV animation studios and met some of the great people who work on the huge film productions.

Jacqueline was also drawing live in the Featured Artists section , part of the ‘Breakfast with the Pros’ and giving advice on young artists’ portfolios at the ‘Career Camp’.

Cliveden House hosts a huge wedding where Jacqueline illustrates guests with fellow fashion artist Kathy Wyatt

We had the honour of illustrating guests at a grand wedding at Cliveden, a celebrity hangout in Berkshire hosting royalty and infamous guests such as Christine Keeler and Mandy Rice-Davies in the swinging Sixties- whose Profumo scandal brought down the Labour government!

It was a glittering pool side evening reception, with guests, casually attired and relaxed eating and chatting whilst Kathy Wyatt and I sketched on iPads and in ink. The guests were given a choice whether to have digital illustrations emailed to them or hand drawn to take away. We were both shattered at the end of the night having heads down and drawing like crazy for 3 solid hours!

Jacqueline returns to Soho House Festival at Kenwood House, Hampstead

I had another wonderful day on Hampstead Heath, working with the Private Drama events team. What an amazing group of performers! Set up on the edge of their ‘big top’, I kept catching glimpses of acrobats spinning, hanging, balancing- incredible! It was a super hot day with a lovely crowd of interesting people who I drew and chatted to for 5 hours. Afterwards I even managed to catch Groove Armada for a few tracks!!!

Ralph Lauren invites Jacqueline to draw digital portraits for their weekend RL50 handbag launch

Jacqueline’s digital portraits welcomed guests into their flagship store last month. Drawing some customers with their beloved dogs and some overseas visitors who could receive their digital portraits by email by the time they arrived home.

Birmingham 's Louis Vuitton store in Selfridges hosts a Mothers' Day event for special customers.

Jacqueline returns to Louis Vuitton in Birminghams Selfridges to illustrate customers and their children at a special weekend event. “ I met some wonderful ladies and the children were delightful, I even had some cuddles from little girls who really enjoyed having their portraits painted with their mummies!” Jacqueline had a special request from one mother to have her portrait done whilst breast feeding her little one.

Four Seasons Hotel, London hosts "Mrs Legend' pageant, sponsored by Pragnell jewellery. Jacqueline illustrates contestants at an honorary dinner

I had the pleasure of drawing 14 contestants for ‘Mrs Legend’ an International beauty pageant organisation. Commissioned by their sponsor Pragnell Jewellers, I sat in an elegant suite in the Four Seasons Hotel at Tower Hill, drawing the glamourous ladies’ portraits . Each portrait took @ 12-15 minutes though I had a small amount of preparation pre-event so I had some of the guests’ sketched out’ in rough pencil format already- this took some of the time pressure off!

Live drawing at a totally unique location!

Yesterday I drove up to Banbury to draw guests at Aynhoe Park for Pragnell Jewellers. Booked by Susannah at Couture Events to draw at a lavish party for their loyal customers. Pragnell’s is a family owned business with stores in Leicestershire and Mayfair as well as their flagship store in Stratford-Upon-Avon. They sell the most exquisite jewellery, made in house by master craftsmen and sold alongside luxury watches such as Cartier, Rolex, Patek Philippe.

The orangery at https://aynhoepark.co.uk/ where I worked sketching guests, was adorned with taxidermy leopards, a toucan and a giraffe, seemingly being lifted by gigantic porcelain balloons.

It really was the most ostenatious location that I’ve ever had the pleasure to work in! Out of the window next to me was a stunning view over the parkland which was full of deer. My guests kept spotting huge stags whilst I drew their portraits. It was a crazy busy 5 hours with barely time to change my paint water, but a thoroughly enjoyable day!

Jacqueline and Kathy Wyatt team up to illustrate guest portraits for Bvlgari in St. Moritz, Switzerland.

Kathy and I were invited to stay at Badrutt's Palace Hotel in St. Moritz to draw fashion portraits of their special guests for an event to celebrate 100 years of jewellery watch making. It was an informative talk in a beautiful suite in the world famous luxury ski resort. We prepared 'poses' before the event so watches could be photographed and printed onto watercolour paper which we then drew the portraits. The event was a huge success, Kathy and I managed to draw nearly 40 portraits between us in 3 hours. To view Kathy's work please visit www.kathywyatt.com . Sketching at Soho House Festival on Hampstead Heath with Private Drama Events

I had a very exciting day last week at Soho House's Festival at Kenwood House. It was a hot day and my first time working at a festival outdoors. Luckily I had a shady spot on the edge of Private Drama's marquee where I was able to cast an odd glance at the amazing acts of circus-style performers. Their theme was very much 'The Greatest Showman' Vaudeville style with traditional acts being off-centred and updated, I felt honoured to be a part of their very grand marquee.

Sketching a wedding party in Claridges penthouse suite and in the ballroom for the evening reception

The morning started with Jacqueline sketching the bridal party including bridesmaids, her parents and the bride herself in the wonderful penthouse suite of Claridges Hotel in London. It was lovely to get caught up in the excitement whilst the girls were readying themselves for the glamorous wedding in Kensington. I started sketching at 11am and worked all day whilst the happy couple were getting married. Greeting them on their return downstairs in Claridges beautiful ballroom where I continued until 11pm illustrating guests during the cocktail reception and continuing whilst they dined. It was an exhausting day as I normally only work in 3-4 hour stints but lovely to be part of such a happy occasion!

At the beginning of May, Armani took Jacqueline to Birmingham for another innovative, interactive event

Another City, another Emporio Armani event for Jacqueline. Linking up her iPad Pro to a 2 metre high screen, this customer evening event was a huge hit with customers and local bloggers. Jacqueline felt really at home as this is the city near where she grew up and went to Bournville College of Art, embarking on her fashion career. Little did she know 30+ years ago that she would end up working for such luxury brands as Giorgio Armani. The fabulous designer shopping centre  The Mailbox is a great place for shopping and eating, hosting this wonderful champagne and canapéd event.

Jacqueline's next event was also for a luxury brand jeweller, this time in Selfridges for Bulgari.

At the end of April, Jacqueline spent time in The Wonder Room at Selfridges drawing customers at a most unique event. Bulgari were showcasing Elizabeth Taylor's private collection of jewels. Famously passionate for the brand,  the diamond encrusted snakehead seen on the bracelet that she wore in the film 'Cleopatra' has since adorned many of Bulgari's unique designs from handbags to diamond rings. I drew customers' portraits onto paper which had been printed with a photograph of a stunning Liz Taylor necklace so they could even 'take it home with them'! (or at least an image on paper!)

Jacqueline flies to Paris for DeBeers' promotional event at their prestigious showroom on Rue De La Paix

In April Jacqueline flew to Paris to meet her Paris agent Marie Bastille (www.mariebastille.com). An early start at De Beers and a very long day sketching, first of all press and then customers at the launch of their wedding collection. Jacqueline sat amongst beautiful diamond engagement, wedding and eternity rings, it was the perfect atelier for the day- it was an unusual job as DeBeers wanted pencil sketches with a little soft pink watercolour to show off the diamonds.

Diamonds are definitely a girl's best friend!

Cowdry House is host to a private 18th birthday party where Jacqueline is invited to illustrate

Jacqueline designed the invitations for this luxurious party weekend which were then used on the menus and place names. A gorgeous venue to work at, Jacqueline enjoyed drawing guests over cocktails and champagne, continuing whilst the guests dined.

YSL Beauty invite Jacqueline to illustrate customers' portraits at Heathrow terminals leading up to Xmas

This was my largest live event to date and I drew over 120 customers in the week leading up to xmas. I was at T2,3,4 and 5- each terminal had a different feel but they were all very busy and had a lovely atmosphere. I met a great variety of people from a female astronaut, fashion designer through to whole families who shopped at the YSLK beauty boutique whilst waiting for 4 family members to be drawn. It's always great to be part of a successful event and this one went really well!

Fashion portraits at Spring restaurant for Garnier's staff & associates' Christmas party

I had the pleasure of working at Spring restaurant last month in a beautifully decorated private dining room for Garnier staff and associates. It's the second time I've worked at Spring and it's always such a pleasurable place, the staff are great and the food was divine! I worked on 15 minute paintings with elements of nature added at the client's request, which were presented to guests at the end of their Xmas lunch along with personalised stockings full of beauty goodies.

An evening of menswear digital illustrations for Armani Collezioni in Selfdridge’s, London

I spent an early December evening drawing customers’ portraits in my favourite department store on the second floor where the designer mens’ floor were having a celebratory Xmas event with music, champagne and free framed portraits for Armani guests. Commissioned by the wonderful team Armani, it was a pleasure to work with them once again wit their innovative event of linking my iPad to a 2 metre high screen and printer so that customers, as well as receiving their printed, framed portrait, also receive an email and time-lapse of their own art5 work.

Ragley Hall- ancestral seat of the Hertford family, hosts Pragnell's Christmas party. Jacqueline Bissett paints fashion portraits of the guests in the elegant music room

Back in late November, I had the honour of working at Ragley Hall near Stratford Upon Avon.       A wonderful, Grade 1 listed mansion set in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside, near where I grew up. PragnelI is a fabulous family-run jewellers with shops in Stratford-Upon-Avon and London. They sell the most beautiful watches and jewellery, both contemporary and Antique. The company, now run by Charlie Pragnell prides itself on extensive knowledge of gemstones and certainly seemed to 'go that extra mile' to find the perfect piece for their loyal customers. I painted some of the guest's portraits in the music room, next to the main room where champagne flowed and live artists and beautiful dancers entertained.
